(Greencastle, PA) F&M Trust has pledged $75,000 to the Greencastle-Antrim Education Foundation (GAEF) in support of the Maximizing Arts and Athletics Excellence (MAAX) Capital Campaign.
F&M Trust representatives Renee Preso, Lisa Cesa, Mary Cordell and Tracy Burger made a ceremonial check presentation to G-A MAAX Capital Campaign honorary co-chairs Garon Gembe and Jeff Shank on the 50-yard line at halftime of the Blue Devils’ football game on Friday evening.
In consideration of the bank’s five-year pledge, F&M Trust’s name will appear on the Kaley Field scoreboard as the selected naming opportunity. Prior to the football game against Waynesboro, bank staff distributed spirit pom-poms at the gate.
The G-A MAAX’s mission is to conduct a capital campaign to maximize arts and athletic opportunities within the Greencastle-Antrim School District while strengthening community pride. The first phase of the organization’s five-year plan is focused on raising the $2.5 million dollars to repay the Greencastle-Antrim School District borrowed to make upgrades including installation of synthetic turf on Kaley Field, new lights to illuminate the Kaley Field Stadium Complex, resurfacing of all-weather track, and the installation of a synthetic surface on the North Field.
Working with GAEF and Greencastle-Antrim School District, phase two of G-A MAAX’s plan is to fund enhancements to arts and athletic facilities in the district to benefit the community and students. The final phase of the plan is to create an endowment fund for the proper upkeep, maintenance and replacement of facilities as needed. Facilities naming opportunities are available at a variety of levels. For more information, email GAMAAX@comcast.net or visit the G-A MAAX Facebook page.
