| Swanger and Yoder promoted at F&M Trust 
Matt Swanger PHR Christina Yoder
(Chambersburg, PA) Matthew T. Swanger, human resources officer, and Christina L. Yoder, training and development officer, have been promoted in the human resources department of F&M Trust.
Swanger joined the bank in 2006 as a human resources generalist. In his role as human resources officer, he will oversee the operational aspects of the department including coordinating HR policies and programs with emphasis on the payroll/benefits and recruitment areas while ensuring that the bank is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. In addition, he will work closely with the human resources manager in developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions and activities.
A graduate of Shippensburg University, he has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree with a concentration in Human Resources from Shippensburg University in 2004. He earned his Professional Human Resource (PHR) certification in 2010, and obtained his Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management (MHRM) at St. Francis University in 2011. He is a recent graduate of the Human Resource Management School offered by the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. A Carlisle native, he also graduated from Leadership Franklin County, and serves on the steering committee for the Leadership Franklin County Community Program.
Yoder joined the bank in 2008 as an assistant community office manager at the bank’s Orchard Park community office. In her new position, she will be responsible for the administration and direction of the bank's training programs. In addition, she will work with the human resources manager in the employee development phase of the bank's succession planning process in meeting training objectives.
A graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Business Administration, she earned an MBA degree from Shippensburg University and is working towards her doctorate from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. As part of her doctoral program in Administration and Leadership Studies, Yoder is conducting research in the area of training and development, program evaluation, and curriculum design for adult learning and training. She is a member of The National Scholars Honor Society, The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, Intercollegiate Studies Institute, International Leadership Association, International Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma, FBLA-PBL Professional Division, and Pennsylvania Sociological Society. A Shippensburg resident, Yoder is former ex-officio member of the Penn State Mont Alto Advisory Board and immediate past president of the Franklin County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association.
