| Salvation Army receives donation from F&M Trust

By Jason Malmont/The Sentinel
F&M Trust presented the Salvation Army in Carlisle with a $500 check on Thursday morning. The check was given by I. Edward Bidelspach, assistant vice president and manager of F&M Trust, to Major David Wetzel, the head officer at the Salvation Army in Carlisle, and Gerald Brenneman, the Salvation Army's treasurer.
Bidelspach said the donation was to help the Salvation Army kick off its holiday kettle season, when volunteers collect donations in kettles throughout the area.
"We're on a fiscal year, so again we look at the kettle season as our biggest fundraising time of the year, so we're looking forward to getting as many people to participate, to help with the kettles," Brenneman said. "We're always looking for volunteers to man the kettles throughout the Carlisle area."
