Bank sponsors Senator Alloway at Farm Show Event

the 2013 PA Farm Show Celebrity Draft Horse Wagon event.
F&M Trust showed their support of agriculture and received some nice recognition at the 97thAnnual Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg. The bank sponsored the horses and wagon that Senator Richard Alloway drove in the Celebrity Draft Horse Wagon Race.
Senator Richard Alloway helped draw attention to local agricultural operations and businesses by participating in two Farm Show events: the VIP Dairy Showmanship contest and the Celebrity Draft Horse Race. In the dairy showmanship, legislators partner with their constituents to demonstrate their expertise with animals in the Farm Show Complex Large Arena. Alloway was one of 16 contestants in the Celebrity Draft Horse Wagon Race, in which competitors are required to maneuver a horse-drawn wagon through a marked obstacle course.
“Agriculture and agriculture-related businesses remain our state’s top industry, and the Farm Show offers local farmers an opportunity to show the very best that our local agriculture community has to offer,” Alloway said. “I looked forward to the Farm Show every year as a kid. Now as an adult, participating in these events is still fun and educational.”
This is the second year that F&M Trust has been a supporter of the Friends of the PA Farm Show Foundation through the Celebrity Draft Horse Wagon Race. Friends of the Pennsylvania Farm Show Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports educational programs and events related to the Farm Show.
