F&M Trust supports Project Healing Waters

support a local event staged by Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc.

Stutz, program coordinator, recognized the bank for their financial support of
the Falling Spring Invitational Fly Fishing Outing for Wounded Warriors at
their Welcome Reception. The outing is held at the Waltonian Meadows
in Chambersburg and enables wounded warriors to enjoy nature in a setting that
compliments their ongoing physical and emotional therapy and healing. Warriors
are hosted by an experienced in-water guide who shares their knowledge of the
fly fishing sport.
Project
Healing Waters, founded in 2005 by a corps of dedicated volunteers from Trout
Unlimited and the Federation of Fly Fishers Chapters, offers educational fly
fishing programs at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and VA Medical Centers
to assist wounded warriors and veterans with skills that enhance their therapy
and rehabilitation. The Falling Spring Invitational Fly Fishing Outing
for Wounded Warriors was established in 2008 and is hosted by the Falling
Spring Chapter of Trout Unlimited. Volunteers from the Falling Spring
Chapter of Trout Unlimited, Franklin County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League,
Chambersburg Rod and Gun Club, and Penn National Fly Fishers Club assist the
veterans. Various other local businesses offer assistance as well with services
and gifts-in-kind.
