F&M Trust to relocate Newville Office into new facilities
The construction
work on F&M Trust’s new Newville Office is nearing completion. The new
Newville Office, situated at 51 South High Street, will replace the bank’s
present Newville Office at 9 West Big Spring Avenue.Officials at F&M Trust announced that the
new Newville Office will be open on May 29.
The
new banking office will be situated on property owned by 3T Investors, LP.The site formerly housed an ACNB drive-up
location prior to the facility being sold.F&M Trust’s West Big Spring Avenue property has been sold to 3T
Investors along with the adjoining parking lot.3T Investors will use F&M Trust’s West Big Spring Avenue property,
along with the former St. Paul’s Church and the ACNB branch location in a $1.4
million revitalization project.The
restoration of the buildings will accommodate commercial space on the first
floor with apartments on the second and third floors. The revitalization plan includes additional
parking and an open green space courtyard.
The
51 South High Street property will have multiple uses – a portion will be set
aside for borough use, including town clock and potential permanent town
Christmas tree, with another portion leased to F&M Trust for the new Newville
Office.
F&M
Trust’s new 528 square foot office will incorporate drive-up teller and ATM
access as well as a mini-community office design to serve walk-up customers.
The office has a banking lobby with safe deposit boxes and a coupon booth. The
bank is planning grand opening celebration from May 29 – June 16.
“We believe that this new banking office
will offer greater customer convenience - - - the Newville Office on West Big
Spring Avenue does not currently provide drive-up teller services, and the
drive-up ATM is not easily accessible,” commented William E. Snell, Jr.
president and CEO of F&M Trust. “The Newville community is very important
to F&M Trust. It is in a market - Cumberland County - which we have done
well in and we have no intention or plans of leaving this community. We remain
committed to Newville.
“We are delighted to be able to work
with 3T Investors. Our old property is a key to the revitalization project on
the corner of West Big Spring Avenue and South High Street. We believe that the
project will enhance the town and the community. So in the best interest of the
community and for the long-term benefit of our customers, we felt it made good
sense for us to sell the property and construct this new facility in town.We think this is a great location for us to
continue to serve customers in this market. In addition, our long-term plan is
to build a full-sized community office located near but not right in Newville
within the next 24 months.”
The present
Newville Office is scheduled to close at the end of business on Saturday, May
26 and the new Newville Office will open on the following Monday. The new
office will offer expanded drive-up hours beginning daily at 8 am
Monday-Saturday and lobby hours starting at 8:30 am Monday-Friday, and
Saturdays at 9 am.Lobby and drive-up
will remain open until 3 pm Monday-Wednesday, until 5 pm on Thursday, 6 pm on
Friday, and noon on Saturday. Ellen Ile will serve as the community office
manager.
