 FRAUD ALERT - Telephone Scam

We have notified local authorities of a telephone scam in which criminals are attempting to collect debit card numbers.  The fraudulent call is a computerized message informing the recipient that their F&M Trust debit card has been compromised and will be deactivated.  The call instructs individuals to provide their 16 digit card number so that the customer service center can keep the card active. 

THIS IS A FRAUD - the call is not from F&M Trust. 

This is a phishing scam that appears to be targeting Verizon cellular customers (some of whom are not F&M Trust customers), and is similar to a 2012 scam that targeted AT&T customers.  If you receive a call, please do NOT enter your card information.  If you have already been contacted and provided your card information, please contact our security department at 888-264-6116 or visit the nearest F&M Trust community banking office.
