Metz joins F&M Trust as Vice President - Commercial Services
Michael S. Metz has joined F&M Trust as a Vice President -
Commercial Services Relationship Manager.
Metz has nearly 14 years of banking experience including
commercial, small business, and retail banking. His banking career began at
Farmers & Merchants Bank and Trust of Hagerstown, where he was a commercial
banking officer, small business and SBA Lending specialist.He served as a vice president – commercial
relationship manager at Columbia Bank and most recently at Susquehanna Bank
covering Washington County, MD. At F&M Trust, Metz will be responsible for
actively pursuing new lending opportunities as well as developing commercial
banking relationships with new and existing businesses in Franklin County. His
office is located in the bank’s headquarters in downtown Chambersburg, but he
will also meet with commercial customers at the bank’s community banking
offices as well as at customer’s place of business.
A graduate of Hagerstown Community College, Metz earned a bachelor
of science degree and master’s degree in business administration from Frostburg
State University.He has completed various
banking and financial service courses, as well as in management account and
financial management where he holds certifications through the Institute of
Management Accountants. An active member of the San Mar Children’s Home
benevolent committee and Hagerstown Redevelopment Authority committee, Metz
previously served as a board member for the Community Housing Resources, as
co-chair of the silver division of the United Way of Washington County,
advisory board member of the STAR Community and Hagerstown Community College,
and volunteer for the American Red Cross. A native of Hagerstown, he resides in
the Greencastle area.
