Young, Brennan promoted to Assistant VPs at F&M Trust
Shaun Young Matt Brennan
(CHAMBERSBURG, PA) Officials at F&M Trust announced that Shaun M. Young and Matthew T. Brennan were promoted to Assistant Vice President.
Young, financial services officer and community office manager at the bank’s Norland Avenue Office in Chambersburg, has more than 30 years of financial services experience. He is responsible for consumer and mortgage lending, business development, deposit services, and serving customer’s financial needs with a variety of services not solely limited to loan and deposit products.
Young attended Penn State-Mont Alto and is a graduate of the Central Atlantic Advanced School of Banking offered by the Pennsylvania Bankers Association (PBA) at Bucknell University. He has completed a variety of banking and financial services courses through the American Institute of Banking (AIB), as well as the Dale Carnegie course on effective communication and human relations.
A native and resident of Chambersburg, Young is a graduate of Leadership Chambersburg and currently is involved in teh United Way of Chambersburg and the Greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation, where he previously served as president. In the past, he served on the board of directors of the local American Cancer Society, Franklin County Make-A-Wish, Chambersburg Exchange Club, Scotland Youth League, Extreme Soccer Club, and Cumberland Valley School Medical Health Association, where he served as treasurer. A member of Corpus Christi Church, he has also been involved in fund raising campaigns for the Chambersburg YMCA, Salvation Army, United Way and the Chambersburg Hospital Cancer Center.
Brennan, personal investment counselor and assistant Investment & Trust Services officer, joined F&M Trust in 2010 having previous experience as a financial representative, legal assistant and hedge fund research assistant. He is responsible for providing comprehensive personal financial planning, investment, trust and insurance services to customers primarily in Fulton and Huntingdon counties.
Brennan graduated cum laude from Mercersburg Academy in 2005, where he was an AP Scholar with distinction. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Chicago in 2009. A registered representative of INVEST Financial Corporation, member FINRA/SIPC, Brennan is currently working towards his CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification. A member of the Phi Delta Theta International Fraternity, he currently resides in Chambersburg.
