Small Business Development Workshops
F&M Trust is pleased to partner with the Small Business Development Centers at Shippensburg University and Saint Francis University to present educational programs and workshops for aspiring entrepreneurs and existing small business owners in the markets we serve.
The low cost workshops will cover basic business skills as well as more advanced and specific business management. Topics include Starting a Small Business, Writing an Effective Business Plan, The Anatomy of a Business Plan, Employee Best Practices, and more.

Topics include personal and lifestyle issues of the entrepreneur/business owner, the legal, financial and tax considerations of starting a small business, and the “how-to’s” of business registration, government regulations and compliance issues.

This workshop provides an overview of the components comprising a business plan. Developing a business plan is often the most important step in starting a new business. Business planning allows you to get a realistic appraisal of the potential viability of a new business prior to deciding to launch. The business plan can be invaluable in terms of gathering financing for your business and as a management and marketing guide.
